Four bladder stones are diagnosed through palpation of the bladder and radiographs in a Shih Tzu who has been having trouble urinating.
The patient's abdomen is shaved and cleaned with surgical soap while she is under anesthetic. She is also receiving intravenous fluids and is being monitored via a Doppler. Once in surgery, additional vital monitors and heat support will be set up.
The veterinarian begins to remove the four large stones in the patient's bladder.
These are the four stones, removed from the bladder and cleaned. Surgical, medical, and nutritional management will
relieve this patient's discomfort.
